Multiple Commercial Boiler Replacements for Midlands Arts Centre

Our team successfully installed three large Mikrofill floor standing commercial boilers at the Midlands Arts Centre in Birmingham – designed to help them cut costs and reduce their carbon footprint.

Midlands Art Centre (MAC) is a pioneering arts complex based in the heart of Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham. Since opening its door in 1962, MAC has offered a busy programme of theatre, dance, independent cinema, music, comedy, exhibitions and special events to the local community.

On average, Midlands Arts Centre welcomes over 1 million visitors annually. However, with Covid-19 causing disruptions, the business owners were keen to cut costs and create the perfect environment for the return of staff and visitors after lockdown with a smarter commercial boiler solution.

Our Solution

Due to the age and several failures of the existing boilers, Midlands Art Centre required three brand new alternatives.

The biggest challenge was in the removal and replacement. To keep the centre functioning, it was necessary to leave one existing boiler operational as we carried out any work.

Our expert team of engineers worked tirelessly to overcome the space constraints and operate around the limited entry and exit routes.

Through careful planning, we successfully installed three Mikrofill Ethos 500 Boilers on time and on budget. We chose this specific range of commercial boilers due to their industry-leading features, compact design and efficient nature.

The three Mikrofill Ethos 500 Boilers are designed to meet the vast requirements of today’s commercial buildings, ensuring centre customers enjoy the perfect humidity and environment during their visit.

The Result
