Our Solution

With plans in place, work commenced late 2021.

Phase 1 of the project involved the installation of:

  • Pipework
  • Power cables
  • Drain lines
  • Communication cable
  • Tray work
  • Insulation
  • BC Valve Controllers installed and piped to each Fan Coil location.

Phase 2 included installing the internal Fan Coil units across the four floors. All the pipework fitted in phase one was connected to these units along with power and communication cables. Drain lines were connected to 2litre tank pumps and the entire systems pipe work was pressure tested.

During phase 3, we installed Plenums to all the fan coil units on supply air opening. The outdoor units were placed and fitted on the roof and the remaining pipework was installed to the to connect the outdoor units. The central controller and local AC controllers were installed for the operation of the system.

The Result

The office space now has a sleek looking energy efficient heating and cooling system.

Greater control over temperatures in is key to increasing productivity, so we installed Mitsubishi VRF systems. Offering both heat pump and heat recovery technology, the City Multi VRF Outdoor units can be connected to up to 50 indoor units making them suitable for medium to large buildings that demand high performance with optimum efficiency. This efficiency can result in energy savings of up to 30% over conventional systems.

Cool air can be distributed to areas of the office that need to be cooled, while heat from these areas is recovered and used to warm the air elsewhere when necessary. The result is a system that is not only easy to control but reduces costs by heating and cooling only the areas that require it.
